5 Most Ridiculous Celebrity Diets

Two guesses what you can eat on this diet. That’s right, absolutely nothing. Well, not technically. You can look forward to some plain water and a few bowls of salt water soup. Anyone up for it? Nah, us neither!

Another diet plan which does what is says on the tin! Well, jar. Popular amongst many celebrities including Jennifer Aniston the concept is simple. Replace two meals a day with a jar of baby food. We don’t think you have to use a plastic spoon and wear a bib, but you’ll need to check.

Now this is a diet we think we can do! The Cookie Diet allows surprise, surprise – cookies! However that’s INSTEAD of your usual meals, and before you get too excited it’s just the one. Ah – not so fun…

Our thoughts…

The overriding theme across these diets is food exclusion. Cutting out vast amounts of food sources (or any food sources in one case!) which thus cuts down the number of calories you are consuming and results in weight loss. Great on the one hand, but completely unsustainable and quite frankly extremely unhealthy. As much as we all hate to believe it, the most effective and sustainable way of dropping body fat is to include all food groups, focusing on lean protein sources like white meat, low fat dairy and fish. As well as whole grains and plenty of fresh fruit & vegetables. Keeping active will also help so join your local gym, or just get out and get moving! Drastic diets with expiry dates will leave you yo-yo dieting and unhealthy. A slow and steady approach will have you winning the weight loss race in the end.
